"Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end...."

During another morning of excitement at work (yawn!) I decided to go for a walk after lunch to extend my break by 20 minutes and to discover something new. Whilst realising that to my advantage I have the whole of Oxford St / Central London at my peril, I meandered out onto the busy pavement and stood there without a clue which direction to go. My common destinations include Borders bookshop: to get on with some reading of a book or magazine that I have no intention of buying, Tesco: to buy 11p Doughnuts, Soho Square to sit on the grass on sunny days or HMV to look at the 70% sale. Unfortunately, today was like no other, I wandered over to HMV to look at loads of sale DVDs and CD's that I didn't want to spend money on.
As I left the loud music and general chatter of the people in HMV I decided it was not time to return just yet and decided on a common route I take 'around the block' back to the office. It was during this walk that it occurred to me how many times have I begun or have had the intention of doing something new and never got around to starting or finishing it. I always seem to spend an enormous amount of time doing useless things (or things I don't even enjoy) like comparing functions on new mobile phones and how much I can sell my old one for on Ebay, then never actually taking that final step to selling it, or wasting time and money on internet poker/shopping/browsing, then complaining I never had the time to complete my application to that Car Mechanics/Plumbing/Carpentry/TEFL course I wanted to do for the last couple of years.
"I can't tell you how this is going to finish but I can tell you how its going to begin..." Every day I waste time doing some tedious crap (which, worst of all, for some reason I Choose to do) losing days, weeks, months and now years I'm never going to get back! This has got to stop!!
