First up in my planned travels is my holiday to Japan. It will be for my first time, the plan is to escape Christmas this year, avoid the norm I suppose, and what better way than to visit my brother and a country that does not celebrate it.
The tickets were book last minute…. Like everything I do. The flight is to leave on the 18th in two days time, and return on New Years day 2006. We have only just sorted some of the accommodation, and the all-important rail passes were purchased an picked up today.
On my girlfriend, Heloise’s agenda are the tickets to visit ‘Studio Ghibli’ (The company that produced Japanese Anime films such as Totoro, Tombstone Of The Fireflies and more recently Spirited Away and Howls Moving Castle.) ….These tickets were purchased and collected over a week ago.

The Explanation:
I don’t know why but I feel I need an explanation on why this blog was created, maybe to explain the situation I find myself in. I am not a budding writer, I do not have theories into why the earth was created or the reason of our existence, blah, blah, blah.
However, what I do believe, is that in every person there is a story to tell something to say and thoughts which need to be expressed.
The blogging community was first brought to my attention by my brother (….. lets plug his site http://www.wantheman.blogspot.com/ ) at which point, to be honest I thought it was quite a pointless creation within the internet world where people could waste more of their time “Surfing”
Following my university graduation I went travelling to Mexico with my girlfriend whereby I decided to keep a journal of our three week backpacking adventure. This only lasted the first week. The problem was that I found even though I could express the emotions of my travels I couldn’t share these with anyone who wasn’t with me physically. A couple of years have passed since with a few one week holidays here and there. I now feel its time to introduce an few new trips a couple of big ones.
This time I want to feel a bit more prepared for the journey and with the aid of my blog, share my experiences with everyone.
