Lots to say no time to post it
My blogs have been rather scarce lately, though I have had a lot which ive wanted to say. Again I blame my useless phone for this, as it has now more and more frequently decided to destroy my blogs, but hopefully this will be resolved with a new phone im getting! Yay!

"I could get hit by a bus tomorrow!"
Unfortunately for the lady I saw the last week this was in fact not just a cliché but a reality.
Working in central London for the past year and I think I’ve seen quite a few memorable scenes.
Just over a year ago during the 7/7 bombings we witnesses an Oxford St empty of cars and buses but instead waves of people swarming around in all directions just trying to get home.
The 3 Minutes of silence whereby thousands of people lined the street to pay respect to the dead
Some weekly event where hundreds of Londoners skate or rollerblade down Oxford St causing havoc to the traffic
Some guy holding a billboard pointing to some sandwich shop whose sale pitch is to quite literally scream incomprehensibly pausing only to take a breath (Obviously on the same train of thought as Homer in that Simpsons episode where he shoots a shotgun in the street to get people to go bowling!).
But this scene last week was not uncommon I imagine, but a first time I’ve seen anything like it.
Just after lunch on a sunny Thursday afternoon my ‘delightful’ manager (That’s a Sarcastic ‘delightful’ incase you didn’t know) walks briskly into the office a heads straight for the window looking like a kid that has just bought a new toy and wants to show it off but is pretending not to make a big deal of it.
After a few looks around the office and few comments and pointing from him towards the street below the office began to awake from its post lunch slumber to take a look.
When I looked out I was shocked to see a middle aged–ish lady on her back in the middle of the street surrounded by blood around her head and a bus with a huge crack on the windscreen about 5ft away. The paramedics were quick on the scene and the police and doctors arrived shortly after. The crowds were moved away with the police tape and the lady was surrounded by the emergency staff. Because it was right outside our window we managed to see the whole thing. From accident scene, we could see in detail exactly what the paramedics and doctors were doing, from inserting metal rods into her body to the point they were collecting up the lady’s personal items and false teeth which appeared to have been knocked out of her mouth onto the street.
As it all quietened down with the ambulance speeding off to the hospital we finished work as usual hoping all will be fine.
The police drew markings on the street for evidence of the accident scene of where the bus stopped and where the lady’s head ended up. I now walk past this spot every day and cross Oxford Street via the same road island.
Two days following, a sign was posted ‘Fatal Accident’ unfortunately she didn’t survive……
Enjoy life while you can!

"Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end...."
During another morning of excitement at work (yawn!) I decided to go for a walk after lunch to extend my break by 20 minutes and to discover something new. Whilst realising that to my advantage I have the whole of Oxford St / Central London at my peril, I meandered out onto the busy pavement and stood there without a clue which direction to go. My common destinations include Borders bookshop: to get on with some reading of a book or magazine that I have no intention of buying, Tesco: to buy 11p Doughnuts, Soho Square to sit on the grass on sunny days or HMV to look at the 70% sale. Unfortunately, today was like no other, I wandered over to HMV to look at loads of sale DVDs and CD's that I didn't want to spend money on.
As I left the loud music and general chatter of the people in HMV I decided it was not time to return just yet and decided on a common route I take 'around the block' back to the office. It was during this walk that it occurred to me how many times have I begun or have had the intention of doing something new and never got around to starting or finishing it. I always seem to spend an enormous amount of time doing useless things (or things I don't even enjoy) like comparing functions on new mobile phones and how much I can sell my old one for on Ebay, then never actually taking that final step to selling it, or wasting time and money on internet poker/shopping/browsing, then complaining I never had the time to complete my application to that Car Mechanics/Plumbing/Carpentry/TEFL course I wanted to do for the last couple of years.
"I can't tell you how this is going to finish but I can tell you how its going to begin..." Every day I waste time doing some tedious crap (which, worst of all, for some reason I Choose to do) losing days, weeks, months and now years I'm never going to get back! This has got to stop!!

World Cup 2006
We had the worst day of World cup 2006 today both England and Brazil were knocked out. For once I was really optimistic on our chances and genuinely thought that the only games we would have had any trouble on was against Brazil.
Today’s game began with a certain excitement that brazil would be out most likely opponents in the Semi’s and that this would be our sweet revenge on Portugal for our defeat in the Euro 2004 championships. However, so drab and boring was the match, that the biggest cheer before the penalties was when a barman in the pub we were in dropped a pint glass on the floor!
Following England’s defeat to Portugal, our eyes turned to Brazil to beat France today and avenge England by defeating Portugal in the Semi’s. however Brazil never really got past second gear and was also a victim to a lesser team. I suppose this is always part of the excitement that no one knows who will perform on the night.
Without these teams in the world cup I imagine that interest in the world cup will now take a back seat to England’s hopes in the Wimbledon tennis………… except for the fact Tim Henman has already been knocked out in the second round. Nothing ever changes…
